Will is a jerk to Jenny. Syd is ready to move on after Danny (and
hopefully
onto Vaughn), so she takes off her engagement ring. To prepare her
before
she starts attending the family Thanksgivings, Vaughn tells Syd about
his
crazy Aunt Trish. I could listen to the cute way he says "crop-circle
worshipper" for the rest of my life. Syd gets pissy that he wants her
to
finagle an invitation to Sloane's house through her friendship with
his
wife, Emily. Syd, I don't think you get to be morally offended when
you
haven't talked to your BESTEST friend who's DYING of cancer in, like,
seven
months. Sark is still hot. Vaughn fishes to find out who Syd is
taking to
the Sloanes' dinner party; subtlety, thy name is not Vaughn. Will is
still
a jerk to Jenny, so she dumps his ass on the side of the road; viewers
scream, "You go, girl!" Vaughn gives dressed-up Syd a blatant once-
over
despite the fact that HER FATHER IS STANDING RIGHT THERE. Boy, you
got it
bad. Jack and Vaughn are both taken aback that Syd is taking Willage
Idiot
to the dinner party (for different reasons, natch). Vaughn bucks up
after
this disappointment and tells Syd that she looks really pretty; Syd is
pleased and shows her dimples. Syd calls Vaughn-as-Francie "sweetie."
Later, Syd thinks that Vaughn's got his UNHH-UNHH freak on. Or acting
freaky. One or the other.
