Oct. 17, 2006: I was wondering if someone could help me source some of Michael's earlier DVDs which are suitable for playing on Australian DVD players. The DVDs I am after are: Fiorile, Touch Me, The Curve. I have tried DVD stores in Australia and can't get any help so I thought maybe a Vartan Ho may be able to suggest an internet website where I could purchase these DVD in Australian format.

By the way members may be interested to know that in Australia the TV network 7 which has the rights to show Alias have decided not to include the final season 5 in its play list for this year or next so it seems Australian fans will have to wait until season 5 is released on DVD here which is usually 6 to 8 months after USA. BUT with TV not showing it to general public they may force delay of DVD release. -- Gail, Vartan Ho # 4035

Sky Movies in the UK will be showing "It Had To Be You" on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at 11:30am & 6:10pm.

According to amazon.co.uk season 3 is going to be released in the UK on the 30th May! Thanks to Vicki for the heads-up!

Season 3 of "Alias" will start airing on the German channel Pro 7 on April 13 at 11:15 p.m. That's a Wednesday just like in America. Thanks to Sonja and wunschliste.de and Evansclan and SD-6.de for the heads-up and confirmation. If you're interested in some TV rec's, "Desperate Housewives" will start on April 12 in Germany, "Lost" on April 4, and "Stargate Atlantis" this Wednesday. Not bad for a region that's usually years behind with their US shows! :)

Huge thanks to Stijn for keeping us updated on the overseas front: "Alias" fans in North Belgium have already been treated to seasons 1 and 2, including the big cliffhanger in Hong Kong. From October 2004 season 1 has been repeated on a new channel, vijfTV. This channel will commence showing season 2 on February 10, 2005. It's on every Thursday at 9 p.m. local time (GMT+1 hour). The DVD of season 3 will be released in Belgium on March 9.

According to Amélie Pascal, Vartan Ho #1664, "On the channel CTV, Part 1 of the Mists of Avalon will be playing on May 22, 2004. Part 2 will be played the following week, at the same time. I do believe schedules are for Mountain Time. For additional information, visit www.ctv.ca and click on TV Listings." Many thanks for the tip, Amélie!

Bella47, Vartan Ho #2885, informed us that Channel 7 in Australia has apparently "decided to screen Alias only once a week now, at the normal time of 9.30 Tuesday. They needed to open up an extra timeslot where they could pull more ratings by showing movies." So it's not on Thursday nights anymore. Thanks for the heads-up!

Gemma let us know that "The Pallbearer" is showing on Sunday, May 9th at 11:20 p.m. on BBC2. Also, ITV's South Bank Show is about MV's uncle Johnny Halliday this week. That's on around 10:45 p.m. if you're curious. Thanks Gemma!

The Armenian General Benevolent Union has a nice expose/biography about our hero, titled "Michael Vartan: A Face That's Hard to Forget."

Mez, Vartan Ho #2206, from Australia let us know that "One Hour Photo" will be premiering on "Showtime" on the Foxtel cable network in her country on Sunday, May 30th at 8:30pm. Foxtel also carries "Showtime2," which shows all the movies from "Showtime" two hours later! So you'll get a double bill of MV that night!

"To Wong Foo" will air on the German channel VOX this Friday, April 30, at 8:15 p.m. It will be repeated on Saturday at 2:55 p.m. Thanks to Evansclan at www.michaelvartan.de.vu for the info.

Marika gave us the heads-up that "The Myth of Fingerprints" will be airing on Finland's Channel 4 (Nelonen) Saturday, April 24 at 5:45 p.m.

A wrote to let us know that in addition to Studio 23 airing season 3 of Alias in the Philippines, one of the local cable channels (AXN-Asia) is also showing reruns of season 1 Monday-Friday 9 a.m. with repeats at 5 a.m. AXN will also be airing season 3 in a few months. Thanks A!

Jen-Garner.net has up the clip from German TV of MV and JG on the set.

On the German site MichaelVartan.de.vu they have screencaps of a "behind the scenes" clip of JG and MV on the set of 3x17 "The Frame." Go to "Bildergallerie" and then click on "taff -- Behind the scenes." Click "weiter" to continue to the next page of caps.

MV's Friends episode, "The One with Chandler in a Box," is on Channel 4 on Wednesday 21st April at 7.30 in the MORNING! They're doing some early eps as time fillers in the mornings at the moment. Thanks to Charlotte for the heads-up!

For those of you in the UK who would like to catch JG's April 15th appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," you're in luck. According to Tejal, Vartan Ho #391, FTN (Sky digital channel 199 in the UK) will air the show at 10pm. It repeats at 2am on Friday morning on that same channel. So enjoy!

Thanks to Jaycee for letting us know that "Studio 23 is finally gonna air the 3rd season of Alias starting on April 14 at 9:00 PM."

"Alias" screens in Australia on Tuesdays at 9:30 on Channel 7, and now also on Thursdays at 9:30 before "Average Joe." Thanks to Vartan Ho Bella47 for the tip!

Jackie, Vartan Ho #2217, let us know that, according to Ezy DVD, the complete season 2 Alias DVD is being released in Australia on June 9.

Gem wanted to let fellow U.K. Hos know that "The Curve" (aka "Dead Man's Curve") will be airing on BBC1 tonight at 11:35 p.m. Not the best movie, but MV looks good in it. Thanks, Gem!

TV Factory Hollywood, thanks to Iolite (April 3-April 16, 2004) - TV Spielfilm
