Genesis Awards will air this weekend
If you're flipping channels this Saturday and Sunday, flip over to Animal Planet. They'll be airing the Genesis Awards, which Michael attended
back in March, at 4pm Saturday and 8am Sunday. I can think of much worse ways to spend a weekend!

"Demoted" straight to Blu-ray?
News appeared about "Demoted" being released on Blu-ray on June 12, so we assume that means there won't be a theatrical release. Bummer. But any way to finally see it at all is fine by me!
"High School" in theatres
Michael has a much smaller role in "High School," but at least that comedy will hit the big screen on June 1. Whee!

Genesis Awards!!
Michael attended the Genesis Awards on the weekend, which means lots of new pics for us. :) Not a single gray hair yet! First up we have this nice high-res photo from the event.

Successful past
I had a very geeky moment on Sunday when the Taviani brothers took home the "Golden Bear" at the Berlinale festival in Germany for directing "Caesar must die".
I immediately remembered that they did "Fiorile" in the 90s. :)

"Demoted" will finally come to theatres
Remember "Demoted" and "High School"? Those funny movies Michael did, which then got lost in (festival) obscurity because nobody released them?
Anchor Bay Entertainment has now picked them up for nationwide distribution.
"High School," in which Michael has a small role, might hit theatres as early as April 20. The deal rests on "Demoted" being released, too, as well as a third movie, so hopefully that'll pan out - no word yet on when "Demoted" might premiere. Michael plays one of the leads. Thanks to SouthernGal for the good news!

Celebrity Shoot Out
Michael participated in Luc Robitaille's Celebrity Shoot Out ice hockey match for the "Echoes of Hope" charity on Sunday. You can see him in picture #1 at this gallery. Bah, I popped off my crown this evening while chewing jelly beans. Off to the dentist tomorrow morning. I'm not happy!
