Taking off for France

France on October 22. The broadcast will begin at 8:50 p.m. on M6 with the last
episode of season 2, and then the first two episodes of season 3 will be shown.

"Sexy" needs no subtitles
After overcoming some frustrating technical problems, we finally have our first vidclip from "Fiorile," an Italian movie from 1993 starring MV. It's one of my favorite movies of his. The Napoleonic Era is my favorite period of history, so I literally had to stop the tape the first time I watched it because seeing Michael in a French army uniform from the period was just too much for me to handle, and I needed a moment to compose myself and stop squealing and giggling. Yes, sometimes I'm 12. This is the movie for which Michael was nominated for a Cesar Award, the French equivalent of an Oscar, for "Best Up and Coming Actor." We plan to have some more clips from "Fiorile," so this one will just have to serve to whet your appetite for now.
A model subject
Chelly, Vartan Ho #1940, sent us a sketch of Michael that she did. No surprise that he provides artistic inspiration!
I'm so excited. I'm going to the fair tomorrow! Yay, candy apples and kettle corn and square ice cream dipped in chocolate and nuts and tacky dishes you can win by throwing dimes. I love the fair!

Caption Champion
The results of our September Caption Contest with a Lancelot theme are now live! All of you found a very funny take on that special "alias" of his, I must say. Hee. Missed Mists
The fourth and final video excerpt from the lovely "Mists of Avalon" miniseries is online for your viewing pleasure. That Lancelot sure was angsty, but Morgaine had to deal with a whole world of trouble! Yikes! I sometimes feel the need to go back to the first clip. ;)
Asian Alias
Thanks to A for the heads-up that in Manila, Philippines season 3 of "Alias" will start on October 5 at 9 a.m. on the cable channel AXN-Asia. Other Asian countries carrying AXN-Asia will have different timeslots, but will also start on that day. The free channel Studio 23 just wrapped showing season 3 and will most probably show another cycle of it soon in a later timeslot. Michael's hot everywhere!
Mister Michael
The fabulous Nyah, Vartan Ho #2015, from Germany, contacted the Dutch site "Nationale Opinie," that's been hosting the Mister 2004 poll, about why Michael's entry was removed after he'd made it into the 20s. Their eloquent answer? "Because we don't know him." Wow! Then why was he on the poll at all? I'm sure they "know" all the other men on there. Methinks he got a little too much support for their liking, so he conveniently disappeared.
Coincidentally, because you can count on the Hos to right the wrongs, Ana figured out how to open a new thread on their message board on that very topic. That will be an interesting discussion to monitor! Thanks for all the initiative, guys!

They've released the first cast promo pics from Season 4 of "Alias" (early, aren't they?), and we have the high-res images of Michael here. I swear, I don't know how it's possible for that man to keep getting hotter, but he manages somehow. If you can't see the link to the pics in this paragraph, you can read why here.

If you've recovered from the new pics of Michael, check out the second vidclip from "The Mists of Avalon" miniseries of MV-as-Lancelot. I'm a sucker for Lancelot anyway, so this was a double-bonus for me.

We aren't the only ones with a desire to celebrate Michael's birthday this year with a charity campaign. Vartanfan is doing a campaign, too, with the L.A. Kings' charity. So hopefully there will be a lot of children helped in Michael's honor this year!

MV Birthday Project 2004
We wanted to do something extra-special for Michael's birthday this year (exactly two months away today) to show him how much we love and support him, and we decided that contributing in his name to a charity he supports would be a great way to do that. When he competed on "Celebrity Poker Showdown" recently, he played for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which is one of the world's foremost centers for the research and treatment of cancer and other diseases that affect children.
Help us celebrate Michael Vartan's birthday by participating in St. Jude's Honor Gift program, where you can donate to St. Jude and have a card sent to Michael's ABC address to let him know you've made a gift in his name. GQ Gap Ads
The latest Gap ads are in! A new two-page spread appears in the October issue of GQ (Lindsay Lohan cover), which Souris has kindly scanned in for us. :) The first is finally a big, slightly different version of MV in the brown jacket with the hot little detail. ;) He's wearing the striped shirt instead of the beige one this time (which might have been a Photoshop creation on their part from the get-go). The second is yet another variation of the just-the-striped-shirt one, and he's not just wearing cute clothes, but the cutest smile, too! Sigh. Such a beautiful man! Especially in high-res!
