Syd and Vaughn are playing at an ice rink, and Vaughn is impressed with her skills on the ice. They talk about going away for the weekend, but just then his pager goes off. he kisses her goodbye. Syd plays around for a few minutes then we see that Irina is on the ice. Syd attacks her but Irina takes her down easily. Irina tells her that all the information she needs will be told to her in time. She tells Sydney the location of Sloane's stash of Rambaldi devices and that it's imperitive that she find them and stop Sloane. Syd brings this info to the CIA. She's not sure what to do. Part of her doesn't trust Irina for a minute, but if it's true, then they could effectively stop Sloane for good.

Will, back on the job, finds out who the other double is. A woman names Alison Doren who was part of the Christmas project that trained children to become agents.

Syd and Vaughn go in to get the Rambaldi artifacts, only to reveal Irina once again lied to them. They are all fakes. It was all a distraction to get the DNA of the man from the last ep- which was the final piece of the puzzle. Jack, who had the heart in custody, is attacked. he wakes up in a room with Sloane.

Meanwhile, Irina contacts Sydney swearing she had no idea that the artifact had been moved, but Syd has had enough and refuses to listen to her ever again. But the CIA orders her to go get Sark, who knows where Sloane is. Vaughn beats on Sark for a minute, getting him back for shooting him, and Sark reveals that Jack is being held in Mexico with Sloane. Sloane tells Jack that the Rambaldi device is almost complete. It's called "The Telling." He tells Jack a change is coming.

The CIA raids the building where Sark told them to go, but Irina is there. Syd chases her to the rooftop, where Irina reveals that that it was never her in the prophecy- it was Sydney. Sydney is the only one that can stop Sloane now. She wishes Sydney luck then jumps off the building. She had a rope attached to her and swung into a few floors below and escapes. Elsewhere, Will is in the bathroom and he opens the medicine cabinet. He sees Francie's perscription for a drug that doubles take. He begins to think about things and realizes Francie is the double. He makes a frantic phone call to Syd's voice mail telling her everything. He goes back out to the living room, but "Francie" is gone. He turns around and "Francie" is there, and she stabs him in the gut. she's crying as she does it, maybe because she had feelings for him. We don't know.

Sydney and Vaughn return from their trip and Vaughn holds her cheek. He tells her that he went ahead and booked a room at a swanky hotel for them to just get away for the weekend. He tells her to go pack a bag and he'll pick her up in an hour. She's so happy. They kiss goodbye and hold a long stare.

In Syd's apartment, things are quiet. She looks around and finds "Francie" sitting on the couch. She grabs some coffee ice cream from the fridge and tells Francie a bit about her day. She checks her messages. Upon hearing Will's frantic message, she offers "Francie" some ice cream. She takes a bite. Syd excuses herself. She goes to her bedroom and gets her gun, but it's too late. "I forgot," says "Francie" with a gun pointed at Syd. "Francie doesn't like coffee ice cream." A huge fight ensues; a knock down, drag out cat fight. Syd is thrown into the bathroom where she sees Will's body in the tub. Syd eventually wins by shooting "Francie" in the chest a few times. But Syd drops to the floor in exhaustion and passes out.

Suddenly we see Sydney laying on the ground in an alleyway. She gets up. Her hair is shorter and she's in Hong Kong. She has no idea how she got there. She goes to a pay phone and calls the CIA. Kendall answers, shocked to hear her voice. She doesn't understand what's going on. He tells her to go to a safe house and wait for extraction. She waits in the safe house, looking at herself. She has a scar on her stomach and things just seems very strange. There's a knock at the door. She opens the door and Vaughn is there. She hugs him hard and begins to tell him what happened. But Vaughn is acting strangely and looks really haggard, like he's been through Hell. He tells her that he was "asked back" to help explain things to Syd. Sydney doesn't understand what he's talking about. Asked back from where? At this point, Vaughn, who looks desperately for a way to tell her, raises his left hand to his temple and Sydney noticed a gold band on his finger. She asks where he got it. Vaughn then explains, that since that night, she's been missing for 2 years.
