Summary:
Sydney and Vaughn wake up together the next morning and smile at one another. She tells him that it's her graduation day. He's amazed that she's been able to take any classes considering the year she's had. She doesn't say anything, but Vaughn instinctively knows... She wants to quit the CIA. later, she gives Kendall her resignation, which he denies. He tells her that if she quits the CIA, he'll refuse to give her access to see her mother.

Syd visits Irina and tells her. Irina tells her that she should quit. In fact, if Sydney doesn't quit, she'll refuse to speak to her ever again. She wants Sydney out of this life.

While Sydney is getting ready for graduation, she recieves a phone call from Sloane. She finally tells him everything she's wanted to say for the last 2 years. Sloane basically blows it all off and warns her not to come after him. If she does, he can't guarentee that she won't be killed. He reminds her that it was he who gave her the information to bring down SD-6. He planned the whole thing to start his own organization.

Jack tells Syd that Sark is still working for Sloane and they've kidnapped a mathematician named Kaplan to help figure out a crucial Rambaldi artifact.His wife and child are being held captive by Sloane and are being used as bait to force Neil to work.

Meanwhile, Marshall is brought in to work for the CIA and he sees Sydney again for the first time. They need Marshall's help to get a lead on Sloane. Dixon isn't doing as well as Marshall. He's heartbroken and refuses to come to work for the CIA. His wife is pressuring him to leave that life behind him and start anew with her. He's still refusing to speak to Sydney.

Vaughn and Sydney rescue Kaplan's wife and son. Marshall finds an bank in Zurich where Sloane is going to be. They have to hurry to get there and try to capture him. Sloane, who is disguised and trying to steal a device that Kaplan needs in order to complete his work, sees Sydney for the first time. She tells him to give up. Vaughn is there, and Sloane states that "you're the man Sydney was willing to kill me for." Vaughn counters with, "She would have killed you for a lot less." Sloane again reminds Sydney of the warning he'd given her about not coming after him. Sark has bombs planted all around the bank and if Slaone doesn't come out, Sark is ordered to blow it up with everyone inside. Hearing this, Sydney reluctantly agrees to let him go. But Sloane throws her a pair of car keys and announces she will be the one to drive him out of there safely.
