The Abduction

Summary:
Vaughn tells Will that Devlin is willing to let Will work for the CIA if he passes a psychological test.Will agrees.

Sydney arranges to let Irina have one hour on the roof a week, with armed guards of course. they talk a bit about regret and they hug quickly before the guards separate them.

Sloane believes that Sark betrayed him when the operation in Kashmir gone awry. Sark swares he didn't betray him and thinks there's a leak in SD-6.

Jack, panicking once again at the closeness of Sydney and Irina, goes to Irina's cell and offers her a deal in exchange for telling him the truth about why she turned herself in. Irina doesn't even bother to answer him, she just says she wants to make up for all she'd done in the past.

At SD-6, Jack meets Ariana Kane, who is investigating Emily's abduction per request of the Alliance. She and Jack exchange witty banter and Jack manages to frustrate her a bit; his answers are too perfect. Ariana tells Sloane Jack is hiding something.

Sark and Sydney are sent to retrieve the Echelon: which allows the user to spy on anyone in the world. Sydney has already disabled the system but Sloane figures out how to use Marshall to reactivate it. Because Marshall has a photographic memory, he's the only one that can remember that much code.

Because Marshall will be able to see everything on the computer system and there's no possible way for Syd to cover the operation from him, Vaughn tells her they'll have to extract Marshall. Syd is scared at first, but then she's actually pretty happy.

In London, Marshall goes on his first mission and he's very funny. He's very nervous, and when they're attacked he's hit by a tranq dart. Syd kisses him to jar him awake. Once the mission is completed Syd hugs Marshall, knowing his life is about to change. As he's being driven home his car is stopped, and we're thinking this is the CIA team extracting Marshall but, alas, the bad guys are kidnapping him. Vaughn informs Sydney that Marshall was kidnapped before the CIA could get to him. Next scene: Marshall is being held and tortured by the Taipei Tooth Fairy! Not poor Marshall!
