Summary:
Vaughn sees the ambush about to fall upon Syd, Jack and Irina and asks for Kendall's okay to go in and get them. Kendall denies it because it could give them away. Syd contacts Vaughn and tells him what happened. Jack and Irina fight and Syd has to play referee. bcause Jack didn't listen to Irina, they're forced to walk through a minefield, and they make it into the base.

Inside, Irina tells them what they have to do but Jack refuses to trust Irina. Without any other options, he's forced tolet her go off on her own. Just when they think everything is okay, Irina enters with Cuvee and seems to betray them. Jack and Syd are placed in jailcells and Syd is forced to watch jack being beaten. She's crying at the emotional betrayal.

Later, Jack sneaks over to Syds cell and unlocks it. He tells her that Irina saved their lives by playing along with Cuvee, and she handed him a key to escape.They make there way to a lab where the nukes are being used to activate a Rambaldi device. They watch as the device is used, only to pull out a flower - a flower that's over 400 years old. the machine produces some sort of eternal life. Suddenly they hear the airstrike above the building and Jack, Irina and Syd make there way outside where Vaughn has organized a major rescue, all by himself. Syd sees him and smiles brightly as he helps her into the helicopter.

Meanwhile, Emily’s kidnapper contacts Sloane again by sending her Emily's finger. Sloane goes to the Alliance for help. The Alliance agrees to his plan to deliver the money that the kidnapper asked for and track it to find who this person is, but the kidnapper manages to disable Marshall's tracking device and gets away with the money.
