Summary:
Sydney and Martin Shepard barely escape with their lives from the Mangaev asylum in Bucharest. After arriving safely to the safe house, Sydney tells Shepard how he was programmed by SD-6 to become an assassin. In response to this, Shepard experiences a series of flashbacks that reveal the reasons why Sydney looks familiar to him: he was the assassin that murdered Danny. Realizing Shepard was the unwitting victim of SD-6, Sydney attempts to forgive him and helps him escape. Returning to SD-6, Sydney protects Shepard by telling Sloane he committed suicide, however not before revealing the location of Parkashoff's body. Using the encryption decoder in Parkashoff's DNA, SD-6 learns of another Rambaldi artifact. Sloane tells Marshall that the security leak he previously found was a drill implemented by SD-6. In reality SD-6, along with The Alliance, creates a dummy server in an effort to isolate the worm and discover the identity of the mole or moles.
