Summary:
When we last saw Sydney, she was literally caught by Hassan while attempting to escape with the nuclear device core.
This week she manages to escape with both her life and the bomb. After her return, she and Dixon are sent to Madrid to steal a box, which contains a digital code written by a 15th century techno geek, Milo Rambaldi. While in Madrid, Sydney successfully steals the box containing the code after having a face-off with her K-Directorate archenemy, Anna Espinosa. Upon her return, Sydney meets with Vaughn in the park, where she learns that he's been removed as her handler. He wishes her the best and leaves. Will is becoming more obsessed with Danny's murder, especially after he discovers that all the traffic cameras in Danny's neighborhood were disabled at the time of his death. Francie, Sydney's best friend, confides to Sydney that she believes her fiancé is having an affair. Meanwhile, Marshall cannot open the lock box that Syd and Dixon brought back from Madrid for fear of damaging the contents. SD-6 arranges a meeting in Berlin with K-Directorate so that both agencies will have access to the contents of the lock box. Sydney and Anna must meet again, only this time cooperating with one another. Sydney meets her new handler, Seth Lambert, who seriously does not impress her with his knowledge or flippant concern for her situation. As Lambert briefs Sydney on her counter-mission, Sydney informs him that Michael Vaughn will be reassigned as her handler by the time she arrives in Berlin or the CIA will get no further information from her. As Sydney enters the stadium in Berlin to meet with Anna for the key - box exchange, she learns that Vaughn is back on her case. Sydney tells Vaughn he's her guardian angel.
