The Eye: Tex, Hold Em

By Chloe Adams, Luke Dennehy & Megan Miller

Thanks to Vikki for the article!

THE big guns of poker are heading to Melbourne, so it's time big-hatted champ American Kenna "Cowboy" James got serious about the competition. Sadly for him, amateurs footballers Luke Hodge and Steven Baker will be replaced at the Aussie Millions tables by tougher rivals, Joe Hachem and reigning winner American-born Lee "Final Table" Nelson, who lives in New Zealand. Hachem, who flies in from the Bahamas next week, launches his new "Pass the Sugar" merchandise range in conjunction with the much-anticipated Crown poker comp.

Hollywood actor Michael Vartan is also due back in town any day for the tournament's main event on Sunday week.

Nelson is killing two birds with one stone - he will get married at Crown's Breezers restaurant today.
