Movie kiss-and-tell

By Bob Curtright

One thing we've discovered is that there are nearly as many favorite movie kisses as there are people going to the movies.

When we asked for your responses to our "Top 10 Movie Kisses" last Sunday in celebration of Valentine's Day, there were no clear favorite kisses.

But there seemed to be some clearly favorite kissers.

Julia Roberts got the most votes as favorite female smoocher from such movies as "Pretty Woman" and "Notting Hill." (What? No "Closer"?)

AndRichard Gere was favorite male kisser from -- you guessed it --"Pretty Woman."

Honorable mention goes to Drew Barrymore (second place among female kissers) for "Never Been Kissed," although it was toss-up whether the favorite kiss was with Michael Vartan or Sam Coulson.

Turns out, it's the same guy: Actor Vartan played character Coulson, so everybody was on the same page after all.

After that, votes were pretty scattered. Close, but not in the finals, were folks such as Meg Ryan, Kevin Kline, Rachel McAdams and Hugh Grant.

The most surprising was Natasha Richardson and Dennis Quaid in the remake of "The Parent Trap," nominated by Amy Schafer of Wichita.

She also voted for Anne Hathaway and the "foot-popping kiss" (from Erik von Detten) in "The Princess Diaries" and Drew Barrymore/Michael Vartan in "Never Been Kissed."

"You'll probably be able to tell by my choices," Schafer wrote, "that I have teenagers and pre-teens."
