In Style's Stuck in L.A. Summer Soiree
At a private Hollywood hilltop home last Thursday evening, the stars came out to play for In Style's sixth annual Stuck in L.A. Summer Soiree. ...
Among the other revelers taking in the panoramic, nearly 360-degree view of the city were Amber Tamblyn, January Jones, Jake Weber, Jeri Ryan, Lake Bell, Molly Sims, Neal McDonough, Terry Crews and Jacinda Barrett....
Silver Birches event designer Peter Otero drew inspiration from the turquoise invitations (created by Woo), turning the gasp-inducing back yard into a rhapsody in blue and brown. Chocolate-tone chaises piled high with ultramarine pillows and cozy blankets tempted guests to sip their Classic Ruby by Absolut cocktails sitting down. Otero's "simple, sexy and stylish" vibe was completed by candlelit Lucite "aquarium coffee tables" filled with water, white stones, orchids and the occasional shy turtle.
Admiring the setting, Michael Vartan joked, "Since In Style is one of the first magazines that put me in their publication when no one really cared about me, I think it's only fair that I let them rent my house for the event." Unfortunately for Vartan, who appeared on Alias and stars in the upcoming big-screen thriller Rogue, the house in fact belongs to someone else.)
