A rogue for the nightlife

HANDSOME Alias star Michael Vartan was out on the town last weekend, checking out Melbourne's nightlife.

The actor, who is in Melbourne working on Greg McLean's latest film Rogue, was among the crowd at Boutique Nightclub's fourth birthday cocktail party on Saturday.

Despite being single, Vartan managed to resist the charms of some of Melbourne's more ambitious wannabe starlets, instead preferring to chat with elegant Channel 10 newsreader Jennifer Hansen.

Later that night Vartan was spotted by guests at upmarket gentlemen's club Spearmint Rhino relaxing over drinks with members of the Rogue team.

The club has been a hot celebrity hangout this week with several footballers spotted at the venue.

Not surprisingly, wild rockers Motley Crue headed to the King St lounge during their Melbourne stopover.

Contract talk is in the air over at Gold FM.

Popular breakfast radio team Peter "Grubby" Stubbs and Diane "Dee Dee" Dunleavy are in talks with the station.

Their contracts end in April.

The pair have consistently pulled in strong ratings in the highly-competitive breakfast spot this year.
