Scorecard for the 54TH annual Primetime Emmy Awards

By Ed Bark and Manuel Mendoza

Ed Bark and Manuel Mendoza have made their picks in the top Emmy categories. Here's a scorecard to make your picks and tally the winners during Sunday night's broadcast.

Actress: Amy Brenneman, Judging Amy, CBS; Frances Conroy, Six Feet Under, HBO; Jennifer Garner, Alias, ABC; Rachel Griffiths, Six Feet Under, HBO; Allison Janney, The West Wing, NBC.
Bark's pick: Frances Conroy rises above this field for her brilliant work as the raw-nerved, well-intended matriarch of an oft-funereal family.
Mendoza's pick: Frances Conroy _ No one should be upset if Janney or Griffiths wins. In juicy roles, both have done consistently outstanding work. The edge here, though, goes to Conroy, whose striving, out-of-it mom is the one of the most heart-wrenching portrayals of a parental figure in recent memory.

Supporting actor: Victor Garber, Alias, ABC; Dule Hill, The West Wing, NBC; Freddy Rodriguez, Six Feet Under, HBO; Richard Schiff, The West Wing, NBC; John Spencer, The West Wing, NBC; Bradley Whitford, The West Wing, NBC.
Bark's pick: Freddy Rodriguez had some terrific episodes as chief mechanic of the Fisher funeral home's body shop. He's the pick, but the always-excellent Victor Garber could sneak in.
Mendoza's pick: Richard Schiff _ Picking among The West Wing crew is a dirty job. Schiff wins because his character's intelligent broodiness stands out. It's also hard to not pick Freddy Rodriguez, who grounds the ephemeral Six Feet Under in the real world.
