There's lovin' and fightin' on ABC's espionage thriller Alias. We interrogated 33-year-old Michael Vartan - otherwise known as CIA agent Vaughn-about both.

Everyone is anticipating the moment Vaughn hooks up with Sydney (Jennifer Garner)... except you. Why?

Jennifer's a beautiful girl but she is married to a great guy (former Felicity star Scott Foley). I just don't want Scott to be like, "Dude, what were you saying about my wife?"

Before Alias, you were a pool shark, weren't you?

More of a pool freak. I spent 10-12 hours a day playing pool, sharpening my skills. When a small fish walks through the door, you're ready - that's a quick 40 bucks a day's groceries.

Tell Us about Jennifer. How is she dealing with being a Golden Globe winner and one of TV's hottest actresses?

Once in a while, you meet a person who's just so unbelievable. She has yet to freak out. She's genuine, down to earth, number-one sweetheart. I mean she's from West Virginia! (FYI: The French- speaking Vartan was born in Fleury, France).

But on the show, she can be deadly. Could she kick your ass?

If she was wearing the red wig, I'd be in trouble - she means business!

Jennifer's response
