Jennifer Garner In Talks for 'Going on 30'

Jennifer Garner

HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) - Jennifer Garner's meteoric rise in Hollywood isn't just affecting her popularity, but also her pocketbook.

Virtually unknown a year ago, the star of "Alias" has reportedly asked for $3 million to appear in "13 Going on 30" for Revolution Studios, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She also has director approval for the movie.

The story centers on a 13-year-old girl who's desperate to be the popular girl in school. After playing an unsuccessful round of Seven Minutes in the Closet at her birthday party, she is so humiliated that she refuses to emerge from the room. When she eventually walks out of the closet she finds herself nearly 30 and looking great.

Texas-born Garner, 30, film credits include "Pearl Harbor" and "Dude, Where's My Car?" She'll be appearing next in Steven Spielberg's "Catch Me If You Can" opposite Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio, and Mark Steven Johnson's "Daredevil," with Ben Affleck and Colin Farrell.

Production on "13 Going on 30" is set to begin next summer.
