Michael Vartan TV interview

Michael was interviewed on 'Extra' tonight, and there were a few SPOILERS, very minor and mostly assumptions on the part of 'Extra', but mentionable all the same. Here ya go!

[The big season finale of Alias left one character's life hanging in the balance], and also left one star's future in the balance. (clips of finale)

He's trapped and terrified in the final scene's of (drowning Vaughn scene) the heart-pounding Alias. Is time running out for sexy CIA operative Michael Vartan? Or will he survive for a second seaon? Seems that's still classified.

MV: "I'd like to think I'm coming back next year. Cause, ah, ABC just brought me to NYC and paid for a hotel an airfare...so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed." (Vartan Ho note: it's my opinion this interview was taken before Michael had finished signing for Season 2, and Michael said this because he's fine line-negotiating on his contract. Yes, he'll be back. No worries.)

With any luck, ABC's cloak-and-dagger cutie might also find a little onscreen, undercover, love with co-star Jennifer Garner next season.

"Of course I wouldn't mind it, having such a lovely costar. But, ah, in, ah, terms of storyline, I think it would be more interesting if they laid off that aspect for a while. But..."

Meantime, the french-born hockey-playing bachelor, whose first Hollywood hat-trick taught Drew Barrymoore a thing or two in 'Never Been Kissed (clip of Never Been Kissed, include Michael's line "Are you sure you're 17?"), just developed a role in Robin Williams new movie, 'One Hour Photo' (clip of very scary looking Robin Williams' character taking pics of Michael's character and family in their house), slated for later this year.

With all this work and no play, "My love life is pretty much, ah, non-existant..."

Mmm, perhaps you might want freshen up on a few pick up lines, Michael!

"'Hey, come'ere, I'm on 'Alias'..' That seems to work pretty well (Michael busts out laughing)... No! I'm just kidding."

Truth is, 33-year old Michael told Extra he's not ready to rush into romance. "I'm sure I'll be in a relationship soon enough, with all the wonderful compromises (laughs out loud again and rolls his eyes) that that intails....so I'm enjoying single life while it lasts."

Looks like this sexy spy's secret isn't so top-secret ...anymore.
