Fan Q&A with Michael Vartan

Many, many thanks to Lori from Vartanetc! DO NOT REPOST ELSEWHERE!

In June 2001 fans had the opportunity to submit questions for Michael Vartan via vartanetc.com, thanks to help from Michael's manager Stephen Hanks.

All of the questions that were submitted to this site were collected and provided for consideration, however, due to the high response and time involved, not all of them could be answered.

A huge thanks goes to all the people who participated, and to Michael Vartan and Stephen Hanks for their time and making this possible.

Some responses below may not exactly be word for word.

Patrizia from Melbourne, Australia asks: As Lancelot in the Mists of Avalon, you put on an English accent. How difficult was that and did you get a coach to help you?

Michael: Yes, they got a coach for us. It was very difficult and not something I would look forward to doing again.

Nicole asks: What has been your favorite role that you've done so far and why?

Michael: Alias. It's the project that I'm most excited about.

Paula from Sheffield, United Kingdom asks: If you could act with any actor/actress past or present, who would it be and why?

Michael: Actress, Meryl Streep because she's a great actress. Actor would be Robert DeNiro, because he's Robert DeNiro.

Mollie from New York asks: If you weren't an actor, what do you think your profession would be?

Michael: I would be a professional athlete of some sort.

Tammy from Seattle, Washington asks: How often do you play hockey?

Michael: Twice a week

Carol asks: If you could play a professional athlete in a film, which sport would you prefer? Please give reasons for your choice.

Michael: Hockey or baseball. Those are the only two roles that I would play because they would be most believable.

Ellie from Florida asks: Was it really you speaking Italian in Fiorile, or was it a voice over?

Michael: A mixture of both.

Are you single, or is there a special someone in your life?

Michael: Single.

Do you have any pets?

Michael: No pets.

Kelly from Kansas asks: Will we hear you play your guitar in any upcoming films?

Michael: No.

Cheryl asks: What is your favorite hockey team?

Michael: LA Kings

What is your least favorite food?

Michael: Brains and Oysters

Lori from Chicago asks: What matters most to you when choosing your roles?

Michael: 1) Looking at the character itself
2) Looking at the cast involved
3) The Director
4) Money
5) Location, etc.

If you could sit down and have a drink with anyone, who would it be?

Michael: Bill Clinton.

Do you ever get the chance to go online, and if so, which are your favorite web sites?

Michael: Yes, Mets.com and ESPN.com

Is it bizarre seeing web sites created in your honor?

Michael: Yes, very bizarre. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that.
