David Julian Hirsh
Ray Stein
David Julian Hirsh Ray Stein
David Julian Hirsh was born in Montreal, Canada, and attended the University of Toronto, where he majored in criminology and English literature. After graduation, he attended the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York, later performing in several Broadway productions.

Hirsh produced and starred in the documentary Camp Hollywood, which won a Gemini Award. The film tells the story of a decrepit Hollywood hotel full of artists, young and old, who moved to Los Angeles to live their dreams. He will soon be seen in the film The Trotsky, which is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2009.
Ray (David Julian Hirsh) is one of the hospital's only male nurses, which causes him constant frustration, since he doesn't seem to get the respect his fellow nurses get from patients and staff. Because he is a male in a female-dominated profession, he is also sometimes mistaken for being gay, but the truth is he has his romantic eye on fellow nurse Candy. He has always wanted to be a doctor and hopes one day to go to medical school.
