Kevin Weisman
|
Marshall Flinkman
|
|
|
|
The Basics: Born December 29, 1970 in Los Angeles, Weisman, like many of his "Alias"
castmates, was trained on the stage. He graduated from the School of Film, Theatre, and Television
at UCLA and went on to study at New York's Circle in the Square Professional Workshop.
|
The Basics: As the resident gadget guru/ adorable nerd at the CIA,
Marshall makes up for what he lacks in social skills with his extensive
knowledge of technology (gleaned from the PhD program in Robot Physics
at Cal Tech) and his knack for innovative designs. His proudest moment was
completing his first field mission with Sydney, although he was kidnapped
only hours later. Forced to recreate an intelligence program using only his
memory, Marshall engaged in several impressive stall tactics, finally even
getting to rescue Sydney by parachuting into the night sky.

|
Personal: We've surveilled until we could surveill no more (and is that
even a word?), but we can turn up nothing on Kevin Weisman's personal life.
He must be deep undercover.
|
Personal: Marshall's previously nonexistent love life has recently
heated up with the arrival of NSA agent Carrie, who shares his love of sushi
and Joni Mitchell. Let's just hope she's not freaked out by flop sweat.
|
|
Work History: Weisman has starred in numerous productions as a member of UCLA's
Buffalo Nights Theatre Company, which has in turn led to behind-the-camera duties. He
recently produced the company's award-winning presentation of "The Apollo of Bellac," and
he produced and played the title role in the Buffalo Nights production of "Anatol." Currently,
he is producing the feature film The Illusion, directed by founding company member Michael
Goorjian. His television work has included guest stints on "Felicity," "Buffy the Vampire
Slayer," and "Roswell," and he has appeared in films such as Gone in 60 Seconds and More Dogs
Than Bones.
|
Work History: Marshall was recruited into SD-6 in May of 1997, and he designed
their most interesting technology right up until the building was
stormed by the CIA. Highlights include a pair of sunglasses that can scan a
person's eyes, making it possible to manufacture contact lenses that will pass their retinal scan.
He was so thrilled to have access to the real CIA's massive resources, he didn't
even have betrayal issues on finding out SD-6 was a fraud.
|
|
Trivia: In Weisman's May 2002 play, "J.B.," a retelling of the Job story, the voice of God
is provided by his "Alias" costar Victor Garber. You can see photos of Kevin's work in "Anatol" and "The Apollo of Bellac"
here.
|
Trivia: Marshall's new digs at the CIA sadly do not
afford the space for his beloved inflatable chair. He has a photographic
memory, which may or may not explain his ability to recreate the program for
Pong out of thin air. To Marshall, Sammy Hagar isn't just a rockin' metal
man--he's a lifeline. Despite the fact that his arcane cultural references
and tendency to ramble excitedly make him nonstop hilarious, not one other
character on "Alias" has ever really laughed at him.
